Mike knew he could figure out how things work at an early age. This led to a fascination of the concept of computing. In 1974 (some of us remember that far back) he worked with EMU's computer and knew that computing had great uses in business.

In1981, while working with a real estate development group, he started visiting computer shops and rented time on the machines to do work for the venture.

Soon this led to watching the store in trade for time, then to advising other business people on the use of early PC's. Soon he was working with local businesses in setting up their systems to take care of business functions.

In 1987, Mike and Jane decided to start Micro Works Computing. A tiny business at first, it grew to serve the leading businesses in the Livingston County area.

His passion is guiding a business into using its computing resources for their maximum benefit. 

Peter Drucker says that a business can never attract star performers in a "back room" operation. They should instead, hire the work to a company that they can expect the best from.
